For various reasons I am very tired. One obvious one is the lateish night and too much wine I enjoyed last night with some of my neighbours down at the Manhunters. It was great fun and the resulting tiredness was worth it. But I am also tired because I have not exercised enough, not eaten enough healthy food and eaten too many carby and sweet things this week.
I ate too much sweet stuff today too but at least breakfast had fruity sweet things. I made a large smoothie with lots of these frozen blckcurrants and a banana.
Some freshly picked chard for extra nutrition.
Tofu and almond milk for protein plus carob powder and cacao nibs for a bit of a zing.
Delicious.
I collected Harvey from a ‘no-sleep-whatsoever-over’ and on the way back we had to stop to let one of the steam trains go by. Like a scene from an Enid Blyton novel.
Being a Sunday and we were at home I roasted a chicken for lunch which I stuffed with lemon and onion, rubbed with garlic and sprinkled thyme over while it roasted.
Roast dinners do seem so comforting.
We had pudding too today, made with mango, raspberries and blueberries.
Meringue and whipped cream. Diet disaster but very delicious.
I made a batch of coco-nutty granola as I intend to do much better next week.
There is a portion in a tupperware pot all ready to take to work tomorrow. I do hope next week is less stressful than the past week has been or even if it is as stressful, that I can deal with it more healthily.
I hope you have a lovely week and that the stress lessens. 🙂
