Eat What I Like Day

According to the Fast Diet, I could eat what I wanted today.  I was really, really hungry and looking forward to breakfast.  I did want a toasted cheese sandwich but instead went to pod and ordered a Flat White and a Power Smoothie which is made with banana, berries, soya milk, apple juice and muesli, all blended together with ice.

What a miserable grey drizzly day!

I went to the Turkish stall for a wrap.  They were giving away samples of the Turkish beef sausage and halloumi wrap which was good so I had one of those, with lots of salad.

They are very substantial and I would have been satiated eating something smaller but I seemed unable to throw some of it away.

I managed to resist cake and chocolate this afternoon so I was pleased with that.  I had a very healthy supper.

Salmon steamed with broccoli, green beans and Brussel Sprouts.  With some butter on the vegetables.  It was good.

Now I am having some Natural yogurt with nuts and honey.  Lots of healthy and tasty food.  Breakfast and lunch were very high calorie but apparently that is OK after a fast day.  The scales will tell next week.

About Lose Weight and Gain Health

Hi! My name is Zoe and I live in Hastings, East Sussex, with my son Harvey and dog, Milton. I have been fighting the fat for years but this time I am serious. I want to lose weight and gain health. This blog is about how I am changing my lifestyle so I can lose weight but not by just "being on a diet" but by making small changes to our lives so that as I lose weight, I gain health. I want my family to be healthy too and never have to struggle with their weight like I have. In common with many large people, I have gained and lost weight many times over the years. This time, I want to lose it and maintain a healthy low weight. I am interested in eating food that is nutrient dense and delicious and that appeals to children and adults. I do not eat animal products so follow a vegan diet. I try to use locally produced food supplemented with what I can grow myself. I support and try to use local farmers markets and farm shops. Another objective is to add more exercise to our days. It sounds so simple when I write it down :-)

It is okay to have the higher calories and your body needs a Zig Zag with the calories to keep the metabolism fired and working. Tom Venuto came up with this theory a few years ago and I really do eat this way. Keep it guessing of what’s coming. Don’t let it get stagnant. It was great to see you ate so healthy on Eat What You Want Day.
