Rubber Duck

Flat White in MonmouthI do lurve that flat white from Monmouth.  To me at least, it is the most perfect coffee.  I also had some porridge from Konditor & Cook which was good.

Sitting in the office a while later, I heard some of my colleagues making reference to a duck outside.  I assumed it was a duck sitting on one of the balconies and took no notice.  Until it was nearly too late.  There was an enormous rubber duck sailing down the Thames!  Then I couldn’t find my camera but I got there in the end.  Just managed to catch the duck sailing under Tower Bridge.  It is 50 feet tall so they had to raise the bridge to let it past.  It seems it is part of a stunt to promote a Bingo company.  It was very bizarre to see.

I went in to Borough Market for lunch and chose the falafel.

Nana Fanny's sign

I ate it back in the office as it was too cold outside.

I had 3 of these amazing, sweet and juicy clementines during the afternoon.

These adorable Santas are made from clothes pegs.  So simple and so cute.

Santa pegsSo having been good all day, and managing a half hour walk at lunch time, I arrived home feeling happy about the day and then ate pizza!  Why do I do this?  I ate the whole pizza too, not just the half on the plate 😦

About Lose Weight and Gain Health

Hi! My name is Zoe and I live in Hastings, East Sussex, with my son Harvey and dog, Milton. I have been fighting the fat for years but this time I am serious. I want to lose weight and gain health. This blog is about how I am changing my lifestyle so I can lose weight but not by just "being on a diet" but by making small changes to our lives so that as I lose weight, I gain health. I want my family to be healthy too and never have to struggle with their weight like I have. In common with many large people, I have gained and lost weight many times over the years. This time, I want to lose it and maintain a healthy low weight. I am interested in eating food that is nutrient dense and delicious and that appeals to children and adults. I do not eat animal products so follow a vegan diet. I try to use locally produced food supplemented with what I can grow myself. I support and try to use local farmers markets and farm shops. Another objective is to add more exercise to our days. It sounds so simple when I write it down :-)

Why did you do it? I hope it didn’t make you feel internally like you ate processed crazy glue that would stick to the innards? Wait? Did you make the Pizza? I had pizza last night too, but a small one/personal size with a side Greek Salad which I forgot all about asking for the dressing on the side. I came home last night from being at school with my BFF as she used me for her exam subject on waxing towards her Esthetics certificate and felt like I had eaten processed crazy glue and why I made that comment and mine was supposidly made with basil pesto and chicken. The crust tasted like the crazy glue.
