I felt ok today but slightly itchy which I think was an allergy to the quinoa I had last night. I need to avoid quinoa but we had run out of rice so I tried it yesterday but that familiar itchy and shivery reeling running down my back has returned, albeit more mildly than before.
A simple breakfast of blackberries with mango. I prefer blackberries in a smoothie but the mango was lovely.
I popped out at lunch time and chose to spend half an hour sitting in Timberyard. I fancied some time out. Time just for me.
I had a matcha made with soya milk like a latte. I have not had one before; it was slightly bitter but pleasant enough. The best part was sitting in Timberyard, peacefully on my own while I drank it.
It was such a lovely sunny day today.
I walked up to Food For Thought.
I chose a box of mixed salad and all 4 salads were excellent. They were very different, all vegan and all good. The downside to a meal like this though is that it is hard to track what you are eating!
A quick and easy supper of blueberry and banana ice-cream.
Blackberries and 4 bananas. Such a quick and easy supper.
Annoyingly I then had 50g of white chocolate which was left over from Easter 😦
Today’s numbers are:
Calories consumed = 1,857
% of calories consumed by food group:
Carbohydrates = 67 %
Fat = 24 %
Protein = 9 %
Looking at the averages over the past week the numbers are:
Carbohydrates = 62 %
Fat = 28 %
Protein = 10 %
So the protein is good but the fat too high so next week I need to focus on eating less fat and more carbs.
Just make sure you don’t remove too much fat. Our bodies need fat to help it move easier. Plus, it is what keeps us full longer because it takes longer to digest.
