801010rv Day 2

I have stuck to the eating plan of 80101rv today but I found it harder today.  I didn’t want to eat bad food but I really wanted something cooked.  Sticking to raw all day was the challenge of my day but I worked through it and now feel pleased with myself.

A simple fruit salad for breakfast made with a banana, 2 kiwis, 1 large orange and some black grapes.fruit salad 1 I enjoyed this but not as much as the citrus salad I had yesterday.  It was not quite enough to get me through to lunch so I had an apple late morning.fruit salad 2-4-15 For lunch I enjoyed chopping lots of vegetables in to cubes.  I was inspired by an Instagram account I follow, called ALKALINESISTER, to actually look up how to handle a knife like a chef.  Such fun!diced veg in salad I made my salad with half a tub of rocket topped with diced fennel, celery, carrots and red pepper, plus some purple sprouting broccoli and half an avocado.  I managed to not add any salt or pepper or seasonings.  Just pure, whole, unprocessed vegetables.diced veg salad I mashed it all together so the avocado acted as a dressing  This was most enjoyable and kept me going until supper time.rocket salad Dinner was meant to be a strawberry banana ice-cream.  I made it with 4 frozen bananas, strawberries and a kiwi plus 1 scoop (21g) of vegan warrior protein powder.  The protein powder is not part of the 801010 diet plan but I just felt I wanted to add it so I did.IMG_9220 But the proportion of fresh strawberries and a kiwi to frozen banana was wrong so it came out more like a smoothie.strawberry smoothie 2-4-15 It tasted good though and was a very easy supper.smoothie 2-4-15

I have drunk various herbal teas today including rooibos, green and peppermint and liquorice plus a black coffee and one black tea with soya milk.  I also had a glass of water infused with orange and strawberries which is so refreshing.

Scores on the doors today are:

Total calories consumed: 1,240
Calories burned with exercise: 0

% of calories consumed:
Carbohydrates: 78%
Fat: 10 %
Protein 12%

Almost perfect ratios but the big fail today was the absence of exercise so I will make that a priority tomorrow.

About Lose Weight and Gain Health

Hi! My name is Zoe and I live in a small village in the beautiful Weald of Kent with my husband and 2 children. I have been fighting the fat for years but this time I am serious. I want to lose weight and gain health. This blog is about how I am changing my lifestyle so I can lose weight but not by just "being on a diet" but by making small changes to our lives so that as I lose weight, I gain health. I want my family to be healthy too and never have to struggle with their weight like I have. In common with many large people, I have gained and lost weight many times over the years. This time, I want to lose it and maintain a healthy low weight. I am interested in eating food that is nutrient dense and delicious and that appeals to children and adults. I try to use locally produced food supplemented with what I can grow myself. I support and try to use local farmers markets and farm shops. After all, I live in the 'Garden of England' so it seems silly to not take advantage of that. Another objective is to add more exercise to our days. It sounds so simple when I write it down :-)
