Sunday was sunny nearly all day which was very enjoyable.  I felt a little bit tired when I woke up so I made a smoothie with blueberries, blackberries, raspberries and spinach.

fruit in glass With soya milk, natural yogurt, chia seeds and cashew butter which is creamy and doesn’t over power the fruit flavours.

I would have liked to spend the day in the garden but with a special day out looming, Lara and I went shopping for something to wear.   Lara tried outfits on I relaxed on this sofa.jean sofa Completely upholstered in jeans.jeans sofa Outfit purchased so we headed off to Cote where we sat in the sun and enjoyed lunch.  I had steak with garlic butter, green salad and frites.steak and salad We have hardly seen each other since Lara came home last Sunday so it was great to catch up.Lara in Cote RTW I resisted dessert and instead had a coffee and a glass of Muscat which was really good.winr and coffee The cherry stalls are beginning to pop up which is always a welcome sight for me so we stopped off on the way home.cherry stall I do love cherry season and am lucky enough to live in an area full of cherry farms.Kent cherries 2014 In the late afternoon I took Harvey up the road for a swim.  He swam and I enjoyed gooseberry cake and wine.at D and A's Plus of course the lovely company and the views.evening view

There was more!  I returned home as we were celebrating Lara’s new job.  Before she went to University she worked in Australia at All Saints vineyard during vintage.  When she left she was given this very special bottle of Muscat.

Congratulations Lara on the job and thank you for sharing this amazing wine.

About Lose Weight and Gain Health

Hi! My name is Zoe and I live in Hastings, East Sussex, with my son Harvey and dog, Milton. I have been fighting the fat for years but this time I am serious. I want to lose weight and gain health. This blog is about how I am changing my lifestyle so I can lose weight but not by just "being on a diet" but by making small changes to our lives so that as I lose weight, I gain health. I want my family to be healthy too and never have to struggle with their weight like I have. In common with many large people, I have gained and lost weight many times over the years. This time, I want to lose it and maintain a healthy low weight. I am interested in eating food that is nutrient dense and delicious and that appeals to children and adults. I do not eat animal products so follow a vegan diet. I try to use locally produced food supplemented with what I can grow myself. I support and try to use local farmers markets and farm shops. Another objective is to add more exercise to our days. It sounds so simple when I write it down :-)
