I picked today. All day long. So I am feeling disappointed in myself.
I started ok with some very juicy melon.
I added some almonds to sustain me.
But I wanted more so I had some Shreddies with yogurt and almond milk.
I was working from home and had been invited to Sarah’s beautiful home for lunch. I volunteered to take a salad.
All of this came from the garden except the tomatoes.
In the salad bowl are: lettuce, radishes, pea shoots, fresh and finely sliced pea pods, nasturtium flowers and cherry tomatoes. Sarah had a delicious salad dressing which went with it perfectly.
Everybody brought something . I really like lunches like that so you get a lovely mixture of flavours and tastes and styles.
I was quite good at lunch time. I tried 2 of the flans; one was roasted onion and the other a completely delicious Ricotta and tomato. I had a generous serving of my salad, tomato and basil and a lovely lentil and spinach salad. Yummy.
Yummy like this group of yummy mummys. Unfortunately I had a 1:30 meeting so I had to munch my lunch quickly and head home and I then worked until 7 pm. It was so hard to leave and I really didn’t want to but at least I was able to go for a short amount of time.
I picked again in the afternoon. I had a chunk of Cheddar with an apple, then some almonds and dates.
For supper Lara cooked us fishcakes which she made with sweetcorn, mashed potato and tuna. They were really good. Served with a salad and mayonnaise. I enjoyed this cider style drink with supper. I am guessing Appeldryck is apple drink but not sure what the Hjortronsmak is!
This was followed by Ben and Jerry’s cookie dough ice-cream. Which I did enjoy but shouldn’t have eaten.
So not a great days eating for weight loss so hopefully tomorrow will be better.
The salad looked so good:) Everyone has one of those days… A almost “non-stop”eating day it feels like…
Hi, I haven’t heard from you for a while 🙂 . I seem to have quite a few of those days at the moment and then manage a really good day. I wish I could be more consistent.
