Perfect Children

I have the world’s most perfect children.   I know yours are lovely too, but, mine are better.  Quite perfect really.  More perfect than I am that’s for sure.

Started with a coffee (AGAIN!!) and bircher muesli.  Not a huge fan of this one – I don’t want carrot for breakfast!

Out for some grass at lunch time.

I felt tired so I went for the wheatgrass shot.

In a wheatgrass smoothie, which had wheatgrass with orange, lime, apple and banana.

I pottered round the market.  It is supposed to be open on Wednesdays during the summer but it is rather half hearted.  Great to see Turnips open.

Don’t fancy these much.

I was uninspired so went to Konditor & Cook where I was pleased to discover they have started a salad bar.

I went for a taste of everything with some salmon.  It was really good.

When I got home from work, feeling tired and hot, I noticed immediately that the house was not only tidy but spotlessly clean.  Was it Friday, the day my cleaning lady comes?  No, it’s definitely Wednesday.  Perfect daughter had tidied and cleaned.

I wondered what the junk was doing in the garden.  But on closer inspection it was a crazy golf course, as demonstrated here by perfect son.

My wonderful children had tidied, cleaned and then made their own entertainment which didn’t cost me anything.  When you both work, you do spend a lot of money on childcare.  During holidays, it is even more expensive.  I have raised an eyebrow once or twice recently (massive understatement) at how much money I hand over each day and they have listened.  So my perfect children had a free day at home and tidied and cleaned.  And played golf.

Wait, there’s more.  They also made dinner!

I came home to a home made lasagne, served with a glass of wine and salad.

How perfect are my children 🙂 ?

About Lose Weight and Gain Health

Hi! My name is Zoe and I live in Hastings, East Sussex, with my son Harvey and dog, Milton. I have been fighting the fat for years but this time I am serious. I want to lose weight and gain health. This blog is about how I am changing my lifestyle so I can lose weight but not by just "being on a diet" but by making small changes to our lives so that as I lose weight, I gain health. I want my family to be healthy too and never have to struggle with their weight like I have. In common with many large people, I have gained and lost weight many times over the years. This time, I want to lose it and maintain a healthy low weight. I am interested in eating food that is nutrient dense and delicious and that appeals to children and adults. I do not eat animal products so follow a vegan diet. I try to use locally produced food supplemented with what I can grow myself. I support and try to use local farmers markets and farm shops. Another objective is to add more exercise to our days. It sounds so simple when I write it down :-)

You deserve it mummy for all the hard work and wonderful things you do for us all, always putting us first before you! Now it’s your turn to be out first as you rightfully deserve 🙂

They are indeed perfect. You are a lucky mummy, almost as lucky as I am (well, I hope to be that lucky one day when my children learn to cook more than a toasted sandwich)! xxx
