The first mistake I made today was adding Molasses to my overnight oats. In with the 1/3 cup of oats, 1/3 cup of natural yogurt, 1/3 cup of almond milk and 1 tbsp of chia seeds went 1 tbsp molasses. Plus a banana.
It tasted like banana toffee and then all I thought about all morning was eating something else :-(. I went to lunch very early and headed to Konditor & Cook where I made a bad choice of Chorizo pizza. It was delicious but a diet disaster! Really delicious actually. Oh yes, I ate some before I took the photo – it smelt too good to wait for.
And then the afternoon spiralled down in to an overeating binge. I am too embarrassed to say what I ate but it was a lot and it was all rubbish.
So back at the ranch I made something healthier for supper with tomatoes, chard, spinach and plenty of black pepper
cooked with some butter and 2 eggs
plus a glass of mango smoothie. Just mango and Greek yogurt. Yum.
A simple but tasty supper.
I have not lost weight for ages and today was a complete disaster. What’s the number for Overeaters Anonymous?
About Lose Weight and Gain Health
Hi! My name is Zoe and I live in Hastings, East Sussex, with my son Harvey and dog, Milton. I have been fighting the fat for years but this time I am serious. I want to lose weight and gain health.
This blog is about how I am changing my lifestyle so I can lose weight but not by just "being on a diet" but by making small changes to our lives so that as I lose weight, I gain health. I want my family to be healthy too and never have to struggle with their weight like I have. In common with many large people, I have gained and lost weight many times over the years. This time, I want to lose it and maintain a healthy low weight.
I am interested in eating food that is nutrient dense and delicious and that appeals to children and adults. I do not eat animal products so follow a vegan diet. I try to use locally produced food supplemented with what I can grow myself. I support and try to use local farmers markets and farm shops. Another objective is to add more exercise to our days. It sounds so simple when I write it down :-)

Oh dear Zoe, but at least your supper was super healthy. Love the look of the chard & egg and the mango smoothie – love Mango. Be extra good tomorrow, jump off that slippery slope xxx
I love mango:) Yes, at least your supper was way healthy:) But you know with all weight loss, in the beginning there is a an increase in the weight loss, and that may last for a couple of weeks, but then it gets harder. In the beginning there is things like access water weight that the body gets rid of. Have you tried adding some more cardio and weight training to your day? Also see this article http://www.livestrong.com/article/238893-happens-weight-loss-stalls/ I still think you are doing an amazing job, and you are still motivated to keep going! The road to success is never straight forward, it always has a couple of bumps along the way:)
Thank you so much for such a supportive comment. I have found this week difficult but I am sure I can get back in control again this week. Thanks again.
