A Tale Of 2 Stadiums

I have not made a decision to just write one post a week; I intended to continue posting 5- 6 a week but I have been too busy, again.  Not all with work though, some serious fun was had too.

On monday I went to Wimbledon with Helen and we had an amazing day.Order of PLay We got there really early and so made the most of our time by going to watch Leyton Hewitt on Court 17.   They lost to Rojer and Tecau who actually won the final today.  I like the outside courts because you are so close to the action.Court 17 I like this better though 🙂  We had Centre Court tickets.Centre Court We had 3 great matches to watch – Serena vs Venus Williams.S and V Williams Wimbledon championships Then Andy Murray vs Karlovic.Murray Helen at Centre Court Then Federer vs Bautista.Federer When all the action was finished on Centre Court we went to sit on the hill.Wimbledon hill We saw Djokovic vs Anderson.  The atmosphere on the hill is more laid back and relaxed than courtside and I was really pleased we experienced both.Wimbledon screen 1 It was a brilliant day.tennis mural My second stadium of the week was Wembley.  Harvey’s Christmas present was to go and see his idol, Ed Sheeran.  He has waited a very long time but finally the day had come.L and H at Wembley edsheeranatwembley Harvey was not disappointed with anything and declared it to be his best Christmas present ever.inside Wembley 2 The crowd were very good natured, relaxed and intent on having fun.Inside Wembley

Ed himself was fabulous.

We would all go and see Ed Sheeran again – he was fantastic.

So, on to the topic of the blog.  I have had a very mixed bag this week, mainly not very good but there were some excellent days.  I didn’t grow these cherries but they are local.  Very local actually as they were grown in my village.  I did grow the lettuce, mange tout, spinach and radishes.  That lettuce is crisp and full of flavour and very well worth growing.salad etc from garden Cherries and a smoothie for breakfast.smoothie and cherries Wholewheat pasta, sweetcorn, black beans, lettuce, spinach, tomatoes, radishes, mange tout and cucumber for lunch.pasta and salad 1 Rice and loads of veggies for supper.veggies and rice

There has been too many lattes, too much snacking and too much booze so overall not such a good week.popcorn and coffee Same as the week before actually so I must refocus.

About Lose Weight and Gain Health

Hi! My name is Zoe and I live in Hastings, East Sussex, with my son Harvey and dog, Milton. I have been fighting the fat for years but this time I am serious. I want to lose weight and gain health. This blog is about how I am changing my lifestyle so I can lose weight but not by just "being on a diet" but by making small changes to our lives so that as I lose weight, I gain health. I want my family to be healthy too and never have to struggle with their weight like I have. In common with many large people, I have gained and lost weight many times over the years. This time, I want to lose it and maintain a healthy low weight. I am interested in eating food that is nutrient dense and delicious and that appeals to children and adults. I do not eat animal products so follow a vegan diet. I try to use locally produced food supplemented with what I can grow myself. I support and try to use local farmers markets and farm shops. Another objective is to add more exercise to our days. It sounds so simple when I write it down :-)
