801010 Day 6

I did NOT want to go back to work today and the amazing warm sunshine made it even harder to sit on the train and then sit in the office!  I took in a honeydew melon for breakfast and then at lunch time, went out for lunch.

I really wanted to eat something healthy and delicious so we came to the Wild Food Cafe in Neal’s Yard.  We got the window seat in the middle where the windows are open and the window box has tulips in it.Wild Food Cafe outside I am loving the bright blue skies and sunshine.colourful LondonYou can see the chefs preparing all the food as the kitchen is in the middle of the cafe.
Inside WFC These are my chums, Owen and Paul, from the office.  Paul and Owen This is the view from my seat.  I had the perfect seat and enjoyed the entire experience.view from WFC I had a ‘Forgotten Ecstacy’ which is a smoothie made with fresh coconut milk, dates, maca, cacao butter and some other yummies.chocolate shake WFC Then I had the ‘Wild Falafel’ which is a pistachio, olive and coriander falafel, kale and parsley tabouleh, red pepper and tahini dressing served in a dehydrated raw coconut wrap.  It was fabulous and I enjoyed every mouthful.Wild Food Cafe falafel and wrap On the way back we couldn’t resist the allure of Monmouth.  2 Monmouth coffees It was perfect.Monmouth espresso 1 Supper was a very quick and easy banana ice-cream; 3 bananas, raspberries, strawberries and half an avocado.  Really quick and easy to make but filling and tasty.strawberry banana smoothie

About Lose Weight and Gain Health

Hi! My name is Zoe and I live in Hastings, East Sussex, with my son Harvey and dog, Milton. I have been fighting the fat for years but this time I am serious. I want to lose weight and gain health. This blog is about how I am changing my lifestyle so I can lose weight but not by just "being on a diet" but by making small changes to our lives so that as I lose weight, I gain health. I want my family to be healthy too and never have to struggle with their weight like I have. In common with many large people, I have gained and lost weight many times over the years. This time, I want to lose it and maintain a healthy low weight. I am interested in eating food that is nutrient dense and delicious and that appeals to children and adults. I do not eat animal products so follow a vegan diet. I try to use locally produced food supplemented with what I can grow myself. I support and try to use local farmers markets and farm shops. Another objective is to add more exercise to our days. It sounds so simple when I write it down :-)
