When I was visiting my sister Abi on Monday, Alison popped round and was telling me about a diet she is following where you eat 4 small meals a day. I thought I would try it because sometimes I leave it so long between meals I am ravenous and over eat.
First day of a new school today – doesn’t he look handsome? Having dropped Harvey at the bus stop I did a dog walk to make sure I exercised today. I was working from home and so many times I think I will walk the dogs at lunch time but then I get too busy and none of us have a walk. It was much better going before I started working.
Breakfast was so awesome I could have it every day. I fancied something chocolatey and just like Nutella so I made my own version by blending 1 tsp lucuma, 1 tbsp cacao powder and 1 heaped tbsp hazelnut spread with 1 frozen banana.
I put the Nutella banana ice-cream in the base of the jar, added a layer of fresh mango and then topped it with a frozen banana which I blended with the rest of the mango and garnished with a few more chunks of mango. I then started eating before I took the first photo – I literally couldn’t wait to enjoy it.
Mango and chocolate are a great combination.
I really can not believe I am eating blended fruits as it really does taste like dairy ice-cream. What a fantastic discovery.
I had an early first lunch of 2 corns cobs.
With butter and black pepper.
Later on I had 4 oatcakes with some mackerel pate. I like these oatcakes and I really like the fact they are wrapped in fours as it reduces the likelihood of me eating more.
Dinner was very autumnal; bangers and mash!
2 pork sausages with fried red onion, mashed butternut squash, boiled potato and tenderstem broccoli. Served with a large dollop of Dijon mustard and also Salad Cream and butter on the boiled potatoes.
I liked the 4 meals and it did stop the urge to snack. Having reviewed the days eating though, I can see I did have too much butter!
Yum. You always seem to make me hungry. 🙂
