you would have been in for quite a lot of shrieking and giggling. We are staying with friends in Warwickshire and today we headed for a walk in Hopwas woods near Tamworth. We parked outside this charming School House which was built in 1717.
We walked along a canal path, over the bridge
and in to the woods.
The children had lots of fun on fallen trees.
And on still very much alive trees.
The entire walk was lovely but this beech wood was probably the most beautiful part.
Water is always wonderful fun for children.
We had a lovely and very relaxing Sunday afternoon at our friend’s house. There was plenty of time to admire their stunning garden.
Do you know what this is?
Nectarine tree!
I definitely have greenhouse and vegetable garden envy.
Harvey now wants a pony!
I definitely do not.
But I did enjoy watching Harvey enjoying being with them.
He’s not having one of these either.
The carriage riding was another new experience for Harvey today.
See ya!
We have been spoiled with delicious food. Even the biscuits were home made and soooo good.
We all had a lovely roast chicken supper together.
Followed by pavlova and mango sorbet.
These three gorgeous children have played together all day today, mainly outside and always the three of them together which has given us elders plenty of time to chat and catch up. Gin O’clock came and went and we still happily have a long evening ahead of us.
We have been spoiled by the kindness and generosity of our hosts, lucky with the weather and so very lucky to have such dear friends. Thank you for such a lovely day.
