I am rather pleased with that title. If I ever open the healthy cafe I would love to own one day I may call it ‘The Raw Zone’ 🙂
I am sitting at home in front of a roaring fire slurping homemade chicken soup out of a very large mug and feeling rather pleased with myself. I have been very good today. Very, very good.
It began last night when I took ‘Raw Living’ to bed to help inspire me to eat well today. It worked. I was working from home so I made a huge smoothie for breakfast with tofu, frozen blackcurrants and raspberries, coconut water, maca powder, Spirulina and Matcha. I wanted to add in some superfoods.
It was smooth, creamy and slightly fruity. A perfect start to the day.

For lunch I made a really good dressing from half an avocado, the juice of half a lemon, a large tomato, 1 tbsp apple cider vinegar, 1 tbsp nutritional yeast, 1 tbsp Tahini and a pinch of kelp. All thrown in to the blender and blitzed to a very smooth dressing.
I made a huge salad. A pile of mixed green leaves.
Watercress.
Half a cauliflower and a courgette, chopped up finely to be about the size of rice grains.
Piled on top of the green leaves.
Topped with the awesome avocado and Tahini dressing.
I really enjoyed this.
It took a very long time to chew my way through this and every mouthful was a pleasure.
532 calories which was more then I was expecting but they were all healthy ones. Late afternoon I snacked on a few nuts.

While I worked I made a very simple chicken soup by cooking the chicken carcass I had left over from yesterday with parsley, onion, peppercorns, carrots and water.
When it was nearly ready I added about 5 leeks from the garden and cooked them until they were soft. I added in the chicken left on the bones and it was great. Simple, nourishing and low calorie.
I have really struggled with sugar cravings today but I resisted them. Hurrah!
Yummy looking food for the whole day. Congratulations on being inspired and it working!
