I was tired after the night and the week before so I made a very healthy start to the day. I enjoyed strolling round the sunny garden looking for nutritious things for breakfast. I picked a flowering cabbage and some spinach. I juiced them together with a red pear, a kiwi fruit and 2 carrots.
It was sweeter then I expected and extremely drinkable.
Someone special was coming home for the summer today so I went out to choose some of her favourite things. I ended up in Frankie’s Farm Shop . Look at this basket of deliciousness, which was for lunch and supper.
This is the best basil pesto ever!
These mixed de-stoned olives were irresistible.
I couldn’t wait for the wholewheat spaghetti to cook so I could smother it in the pesto. I ate some from the pot with cherry tomatoes while I waited. Deeelicious!
A very quick and easy lunch to prepare and if you have quality ingredients, it tastes fantastic.
After a long 7 hour drive, she was home 🙂
I rarely buy mixed grape wines so I don’t think I bought this. I found it in my drinks cupboard and it was really delicious. Very blackcurranty and smooth. Thank you to whoever brought that round. We enjoyed a delicious rib eye steak from Farmer Palmer’s, with mashed butternut squash and salad
Followed by strawberries and mango.
A delicious days eating because luckily, a few of her favourite things happen to be mine too 🙂
Lovely food and lovely to have your girl home x
So lovely to have her home. I slept well last night for the first time in ages and I am sure it was partly being relaxed in the knowledge that both baby birds were back in the nest.
