28 Day Vegan Challenge : Day 11

I apologise in advance for a very brief blog but I am very tired!

Breakfast was the usual; 30 g oats, 15 g chia seeds with hemp seed milk and a banana.

For lunch I had a pot of the noodles I had made on Saturday.  I’d had to go out at  lunch time to run errands.  I was really hungry while I was out so I bought a bag of Bombay Mix to munch on which is made from lentils and nuts mainly so ticked the vegan box.  I was so cold when I got back to the office I decided to heat up the noodles which didn’t really work.  It somehow made everything seem tasteless and rubbery which is a shame as they were lovely when eaten cold on Saturday.

We were incredibly busy at work today but I felt cold and tired and had a bit of a gippy tummy.  I also felt incredibly hungry so I popped out in the afternoon and bought a soya milk latte, a small bag of popcorn,  a Bounce protein ball and a tiny packet of Booja Booja vegan chocolate truffles.  The chocolates were 2 small truffles that were the size of dice.  So a bit of a binge this afternoon but it just had to be done today!

At supper time I wasn’t hungry but I wanted to pack in some nutrients so I made a smoothie with kale, spinach, frozen berries, a banana, hemp seed milk and some Udo’s oil.

I feel better just looking at a pile of greens and berries.berries 'n' greens

I didn’t have quite enough milk so I used some of this cherry juice I bought in Vegetare on Saturday.  It worked really well.

It came out looking like a chocolate milk shake and tasted pretty good too.

I don’t know about you but I am very tired and quite cold so I am about to retreat to my bed!  Have a good evening (or day, depending on where you are and when you read my blog).

About Lose Weight and Gain Health

Hi! My name is Zoe and I live in Hastings, East Sussex, with my son Harvey and dog, Milton. I have been fighting the fat for years but this time I am serious. I want to lose weight and gain health. This blog is about how I am changing my lifestyle so I can lose weight but not by just "being on a diet" but by making small changes to our lives so that as I lose weight, I gain health. I want my family to be healthy too and never have to struggle with their weight like I have. In common with many large people, I have gained and lost weight many times over the years. This time, I want to lose it and maintain a healthy low weight. I am interested in eating food that is nutrient dense and delicious and that appeals to children and adults. I do not eat animal products so follow a vegan diet. I try to use locally produced food supplemented with what I can grow myself. I support and try to use local farmers markets and farm shops. Another objective is to add more exercise to our days. It sounds so simple when I write it down :-)
