What was I thinking today? My brain was scrambled I think. I forgot to photograph breakfast. It was admittedly the same as the day before but I didn’t even think about it.
Then I took these dreadful photos of lunch. I went back to pod and had the flat bread with humous, falafel and salad. It was good but not amazing.

You will never identify what was in this. It is yogurt with prunes and almonds and was lovely.

I was a little better at supper time. I fried some shallots and mushrooms in butter,
added some kale
then 2 eggs.
Kale and mushroom scramble.
So January has been a bit hit and miss. I have managed to walk at least a mile nearly every day so that is a result. Eating has been generally good but I did have a dreadful week and so have not really lost anything. So February will be much better. I have already prepared a healthy start to the day so am on track for a fat fighting February.

About Lose Weight and Gain Health
Hi! My name is Zoe and I live in Hastings, East Sussex, with my son Harvey and dog, Milton. I have been fighting the fat for years but this time I am serious. I want to lose weight and gain health.
This blog is about how I am changing my lifestyle so I can lose weight but not by just "being on a diet" but by making small changes to our lives so that as I lose weight, I gain health. I want my family to be healthy too and never have to struggle with their weight like I have. In common with many large people, I have gained and lost weight many times over the years. This time, I want to lose it and maintain a healthy low weight.
I am interested in eating food that is nutrient dense and delicious and that appeals to children and adults. I do not eat animal products so follow a vegan diet. I try to use locally produced food supplemented with what I can grow myself. I support and try to use local farmers markets and farm shops. Another objective is to add more exercise to our days. It sounds so simple when I write it down :-)
Now you have a whole new month ahead to be more of a hit than miss. Thanks and ♥ for walking a Mile most days. 🙂
I certainly do – check out what I am doing this month 🙂
I did. That is quite the challenge. How is the family dealing with this?
Sometimes they eat separately so on day 2 when I had my stir fried veg and tofu they had been out and picked up a Chinese takeaway. Harvey is dairy intolerant so quit used to vegan foods. Although James is not a huge fan of fruits or veggies, he really likes beans and lentils so we are all doing well on it, so far 🙂
