Agenda for the day was as follows:
7:00 Shake (psyllium and bentonite clay mixed with 300ml mineral water and 100 ml Organic orange juice).
08:15 ½ a melon.
08:30 meet Lisa in the village for a walk round the snowy apple orchards :-). This snow is making my world look very black and white!
We walked round the orchards
and over to the hop fields. Where the dogs tried to catch snowballs.
10:00 ½ a pineapple.
13:00 Raw Vegetable Salad, made with lettuce, cherry tomatoes, cucumber, avocado, yellow pepper, green pepper, spring onion, buckwheat sprouts and fresh herbs. I added some flax seed oil and lemon juice as a dressing. The colour has come back in to my world.
It was so cold I did not feel like a salad.
But this was tasty.
And it was good to eat something savoury after all of yesterdays sweet fruit.
16:00 Crudités with a guacamole dip. Unfortunately I was hibernating under a warm duvet so I missed this snack. I went to Ramsgate after the walk to prepare the house for visitors and it was so cold in the house that I retreated to bed. I was cold and feeling tired so I had a good sleep.
20:00 Roast Fennel salad. Finally, some cooked food!!!! I was so excited to be turning the oven on 🙂 . This was very tasty and I will make this again. You cut the fennel in to thin strips and put it in a roasting tray. Drizzle it with olive oil and the juice and zest of an orange. Roast at 170 ° C for 15 minutes and serve on top of the salad, which was the same as the one I had at lunch time, except instead of adding a dressing, I used the oil and orange juice from the roasting tray.
It was delicious. And warm.
I am now catching up, thanks to iplayer, on the last 2 episodes of Borgen, a Danish drama about the life and challenges of a female prime minister. Our broadband at home is dreadful but in Ramsgate it is brilliant. I can just press play and it goes from beginning to end without stoping once.
Last thing to take of the day will be some probiotics and then an early night.

Cheers to your day of colour and substance.
The roasted fennel was really good and I will make that again. I recommend it. I am very excited about having some rice tomorrow 🙂
