I went on a little detour to the office in the morning and found this lovely building.
I have never seen it before and having found it, I discovered it was built in 1868 and was used as an exchange where hops (used to make beer) were traded.
The entrance is grand and has some wonderful sculpture above the door.
I took a peek through the large wooden doors.
And then stole a peek inside. Not a great photo as it is shot through glass but you get the idea. The floor is tiled and in its day, when it had a domed glass ceiling, it would have been a stunning building. Now it is used as a party and corporate venue.
This is becoming a daily habit! Sometimes they pour the coffee with a leaf pattern but today I had a heart 🙂
Smoked salmon bagel to go with my coffee. Not diet friendly but I really enjoyed it.
Wheatgrass is good when you are feeling tired.
Wheatgrass in a green smoothie is even better.
This is the green deluxe.
Little treat – vanilla pecan ice-cream. Yum! Naughty but yum !
I had a delicious salad for dinner.
I picked some lettuce, chard leaves, spring onion and my first carrot of the year. Quite straight for a homegrown one so I am rather proud of that.
Lara cooked me some bacon and I also had some blue cheese
Added those to tomato, sugar snap peas
Delicious. What did you have for dinner?
